Zero Company Utilities — Find the Right Item for Your Build

Find the Utility that answers the problem in front of you: healing, damage, anti-Droid, control, survival, movement or accuracy. Every family prints its verified effect text, its exact equip type and its Mk ladder.

What Does Your Squad Need?

Pick the problem first. The page returns the Utility families whose verified effect text addresses that job, not one alphabetical list of 79 items.

Browse Utility Families

Families are the browsing unit, not individual Mk records. Every Mk tier in a family is shown inside one card on this URL. The dataset lists 34 families; the tutorial copy of the Medpac shares its display name with the regular Medpac, so one Medpac card covers both records.

How Utility Slots Work

The dataset resolves one Utility Slot capacity upgrade and does not resolve a base slot count, so no starting number is claimed here.

Is the Additional Utility Slot Worth It?

Additional Utility Slot

All Operators gain an additional Utility Item Slot.

Slot capacity comes from Den upgrades rather than from a Utility vendor.

Utilities FAQ

What are Utilities in Zero Company?

Utility Items are the extra gear an Operator carries next to their main weapon. The current dataset resolves 79 items across 34 families, including healing items, throwables, tech tools, worn upgrades and secondary weapons.

What is the best Utility?

There is no single best Utility: the answer depends on what your Operator and squad are missing. Use the problem finder on this page — healing, damage, anti-Droid, control, survival, movement, accuracy — and it returns the families whose verified effect text addresses that job.

Do Utilities get consumed permanently?

Utility Items are equipment. The dataset resolves each item as an equipable record with a resolved equip slot and Buyable / Sellable tags, and it does not resolve a permanent-consumption rule, so this page does not claim one.

Are Utilities more than grenades?

No. Only 12 of the 33 families are used as active items. Armor upgrades and equipped abilities are worn passively, and there are 3 families that are secondary weapons fitted into the Utility Slot.

How many Utility slots can you get?

The dataset resolves one Utility Slot capacity upgrade and does not resolve a base slot count, so no starting number is claimed here. The Den upgrade line "Additional Utility Slot" is resolved and grants every Operator an additional Utility Item Slot.

What is the best healing Utility?

The healing role resolves Bacta Stim, Fast Healing, Medpac, Trauma Kit. Medpac heals 30% of an ally's Health but cannot target Droids; Bacta Stim fully heals the holder; Trauma Kit changes what happens when you Rally a Downed ally.

What is the best Utility against Droids?

The anti-Droid role resolves Droid Dismantler, Droid Popper, Ion Blaster. Ion Blaster and Droid Popper both severely weaken Ray Shields, and Droid Popper does not damage Organic targets at all.

What breaks Ray Shields?

The Ion Blaster and the Droid Popper both carry verified "severely weakens Ray Shields" effect text. Ion Blaster is a secondary weapon; Droid Popper is a throwable.

Is the Ion Blaster good?

It is a second weapon that strips Ray Shields and is very effective against Droids, so it is strong exactly in Droid and shield missions. The same effect text says it is far less effective on Organic targets, so it is not a general damage pick.

Is Droid Popper worth using?

Against Droid groups and shield walls, yes: it Dazes and severely weakens Ray Shields with high resolved damage. Its own effect text says it does not damage Organic targets.

What is the best grenade?

Throwables resolve as Concussion Grenade, Droid Popper, Firebomb, Impact Bomb, Smoke Bomb. Impact Bomb and its tiers carry the highest resolved grenade damage; Concussion Grenade pushes; Gas Dispenser dazes; Smoke Bomb blocks a lane.

Do higher Mk Utilities have better effects?

Only when the data resolves a difference. Several grenade, movement, Defense and accuracy families resolve different numbers per tier, while families such as Medpac carry identical effect text at every tier. This page prints the ladder so you can see which case you are in.

Can every Operator use Utilities?

This page only shows a Utility list where the item data names that Operator. The current dataset resolves utility classes for Tel-Rea and BR-1; for other Operators no verified list exists yet, so none is invented.

Where do you buy Utilities?

Every resolved Utility Item asset is tagged Buyable and Sellable and its resource reference is Credits. Per-family shop and mission sources are not resolved in the current dataset, so this page does not list a shop for one.

Is an extra Utility Slot better than a Weapon Mod Slot?

Both are roster-wide capacity upgrades that apply to every Operator, so neither can miss. A Utility Slot buys another tactical answer per battle; a Weapon Mod Slot changes the weapon you already fire. Pick the one whose capacity you can actually fill.

Is the Additional Utility Slot worth it?

Its resolved effect is "All Operators gain an additional Utility Item Slot." It is roster-wide, so it cannot miss, but it pays out once you have Utility Items worth carrying.

What Should You Decide Next?
