How records are grouped

495 game records are grouped into 201 player-facing ability and talent families. Identical rank text is collapsed; numeric rank changes are shown when they differ. A family owned by a named character belongs to that operator only and is never inherited through an unrelated specialization.

How to find abilities for a build

Use the operator, specialization, scope and effect filters to find abilities for a build. The default view lists player-usable families; NPC and shared system actions stay available behind the Player scope filter.

Ability Database FAQ

How many abilities are in the database?

The database contains 495 verified game records grouped into 201 ability and talent families. 170 of those families are player-usable by default.

Can I filter abilities by operator?

Yes. Choose an operator to see abilities and talents that operator can actually use. Character-specific abilities stay assigned to their operator and are not inherited through specialization compatibility.

Can I filter by specialization?

Yes. Filter by a combat specialization such as Assault or Sharpshooter. Counts on this page and on each specialization page use the same family definition.

How do I find Critical Chance abilities?

Use the Critical effect chip or search for crit. Results only include abilities whose verified text mentions critical chance, critical damage or a critical-hit interaction.

Are talents included?

Yes. Talents are included alongside active abilities and passives, and can be isolated with the Talent type filter or the Browse Talents presets.

Why do NPC and utility abilities not show by default?

The default list is player-usable families. NPC-only abilities and shared system actions such as Move or Overwatch stay behind the Player scope filter, and utility effects are labelled Utility instead of being presented as operator abilities.

Can I use an ability in Build Planner?

When a family exists in the planner data, open it with the operator who can use it. If the current operator cannot take that specialization, the planner does not silently create an illegal build.

Does every ability have its own page?

No. Abilities are aggregated in this explorer. Signature families can expand inline instead of generating hundreds of thin URLs.
