Guide interpretation

How Weapon Mods Work

Weapon mods provide tiered combat effects that occupy a Barrel, Scope, Cells or Stabilizer slot. Each family changes a specific stat or condition, so two mods in the same slot are alternatives rather than stacking options.

How T1–T4 upgrades work

Each mod family has its own T1–T4 progression. Some increase a numeric value at every tier, while others gain special behavior at higher tiers.

Which Weapon Mod Fits Your Build?

There is no single best weapon mod for every build. Different slots and effects solve different combat problems. Damage, Crit, accuracy and utility mods are alternatives for different roles, and some effects only apply under specific combat conditions. Use the filters or comparator above to match a mod to the stat you are trying to improve.

Weapon Mods FAQ

How many weapon mods are in Zero Company?

The current database contains 16 weapon-mod families across 64 verified tier records.

Which mod increases Critical Chance?

Precision Scope increases Critical Chance, from +6% at T1 to +15% at T4.

Which mod increases weapon damage?

Verified damage-related families include Amplifier, High-Energy Capacitor, Bracing Stabilizer, Ergonomic Stabilizer. Some of those bonuses are conditional.

Are T4 mods always better?

Higher tiers usually provide a larger verified effect, but the best fit for a build depends on the stat you need and whether the effect is conditional. This page does not rank mods by upgrade cost.

Can I compare weapon mods?

Yes. Compare two mods in the same slot to see T1–T4 values side by side. Percentages from different mechanics are not ranked by raw number.

Do weapon mods have activation conditions?

Some do. Amplifier only applies at close range, Bracing Stabilizer only while stationary and High-Energy Cells only on the first turn. Every mod card lists its condition instead of only its number.

Does a compatible weapon mean the mod is recommended?

No. Compatible profiles are the weapons the mod can be equipped on. Published builds are listed separately and only when a real loadout in this database uses the mod.

Are weapon mods the same as utilities or Den upgrades?

No. A weapon mod changes the equipped weapon. A utility adds a separate tactical action and a Den upgrade is a persistent campaign upgrade. Utilities are handled separately from this page.

Can I test a mod in Build Planner?

Yes. Open any family in the Build Planner to equip it on a compatible weapon. The planner reports when the current weapon cannot use that slot.
