Best Zone Rewards & Influence Priorities in STAR WARS Zero Company

There is no single best Zone. Cresh pays Intel, Leth pays Credits, Forn hands out a Weapon Mod Slot and Aurek raises every Operator’s health, so the reward worth chasing depends on the problem your campaign has right now. This page turns the regional reward records into that decision: what to chase next, and whether to keep investing once you have it.

How this page labels what it says · game version 1.1

  • Game rewardThe exact regional reward name and effect sentence the game ships for that Zone.
  • Best fitThis guide’s recommendation for one stated problem. Not an official tier.
  • CalculatedArithmetic on an exact per-Mission amount, using the number of Missions you entered.

A reward sentence and this site's recommendation for it are never printed in the same style. The page also holds one boundary: it knows which rewards a Zone holds, not which reward arrives first inside it.

What Do You Need Most Right Now?

Pick the problem that is costing you Missions. Each answer is the next reward worth chasing for that problem, not a global ranking of Zones.

Best Zone Rewards by Goal, In Full

Every effect line below is the exact game string. The priority tag next to it is this guide's reading for the problem that section names.

Best reward for: More Intel

I cannot afford the Operations I want

Intel has two Zone rewards and they answer two different problems: how fast Intel arrives, and how much of it you can hold. If you overflow Intel you want the cap; if you never have enough you want the income.

  • Intel GatheringZone CreshBest fit

    +5 Intel each Mission

A recurring payout: every completed Mission adds Intel, which is the resource the Holotable spends. It improves the rate, not one payment.

Best when: Your Intel is short and you still have many Missions to run.

Less urgent when: You are already above the cap, or only a few Missions remain.

  • +25 Intel CapZone CreshStrong alternative

    Increases Maximum Intel

Raises Maximum Intel, so a payout that would have overflowed stays in your pool instead.

Best when: Missions keep paying Intel you cannot hold.

Less urgent when: You spend Intel as fast as you earn it.

  • Rumor SpreadingZone GrekUseful if relevant

Gain additional influence from Operations and Missions

Not Intel itself. It increases the Influence you gain from Operations and Missions, which brings every other Zone reward closer.

Best when: Intel is short because your Zones are behind, not because your income is low.

Intel also has a Den-side answer: Rumor Gathering in the Networking branch adds Intel to every completed Mission. If both a Zone reward and that upgrade are available, they solve the same rate problem, so pick the cheaper one for your run.

Intel sources and costsBest Den upgradesMission database

Best reward for: More Credits

Credits run out before the campaign does

Exactly one Zone reward changes Credit income, and it is the only recurring Credit source in the regional records. Everything else on this list lowers what you spend rather than raising what you earn.

  • Scavenging TechniquesZone LethBest fit

    +250 Credits each Mission

A recurring payout: every completed Mission adds Credits, and Credits are the pool the Den, the Medbay and the Black Market all draw from.

Best when: Credits are the bottleneck and the campaign still has Missions in it.

Less urgent when: Your spending is already covered, or very few Missions remain.

  • Improved Black MarketZone JenthUseful if relevant

+1 Item at the Black Market

One more item on the Black Market shelf is not income, but it competes with the Credits you would otherwise spend elsewhere.

Best when: You buy from the shop regularly.

  • Smuggling RoutesZone LethUseful if relevant

    Higher Quality Black Market items

Higher quality stock changes what your Credits buy rather than how many you have.

Best when: You are already equipped and shopping for quality.

There is no second Credit-income Zone reward in the verified records. The Den-side answers are Cheaper Healing and the Black Market price cut, so treat a Credits bottleneck as one Zone reward plus one Den upgrade, not a whole Zone track.

Best reward for: Stronger builds

My Operators cannot fit the gear they own

When builds feel capped, the fix is usually capacity rather than damage. Two Zone rewards change what the whole roster can hold or survive, and both apply to every Operator at once — which is why they cannot really miss.

  • +1 Weapon Mod SlotZone FornBest fit

All Operators gain +1 Weapon Mod Slot

A roster-wide capacity unlock: every Operator gains a Weapon Mod Slot, so it widens every compatible build in one reward.

Best when: You own Mods that are currently sitting unused.

Less urgent when: Your current slots are still empty, or you have no Mod worth slotting yet.

  • Extra PaddingZone Aurek · Zone EskStrong alternative

    +4 Health for all Operators

Health for every Operator is build capacity of a different kind: it buys the margin your squad needs to run the loadouts you planned.

Best when: Your builds work on paper but the squad folds before the plan lands.

  • +25 Intel CapZone CreshUseful if relevant

    Increases Maximum Intel

Builds are paid for with Operations, and Operations are paid for with Intel. A cap change is one step removed from the build itself.

Best when: Your build upgrades are gated behind Operations you cannot afford.

A slot is worth nothing until you own something to put in it, and Health is worth nothing until your squad is actually taking damage. Check the Mod and Utility databases before spending Influence on capacity.

Operators keep going down

Zone rewards do not prevent injuries. What they change is the margin your squad has before an injury happens, and one reward raises that margin for the entire roster at once.

  • Extra PaddingZone Aurek · Zone EskBest fit

    +4 Health for all Operators

Adds Health to every Operator, which increases how much damage a squad can absorb before anyone drops.

Best when: Injuries are frequent, or you are running at higher difficulty.

Less urgent when: You are not taking meaningful damage in the fights you run.

  • +1 Weapon Mod SlotZone FornUseful if relevant

All Operators gain +1 Weapon Mod Slot

More Mod slots are defensive as well as offensive: the Mods you are not carrying can include ones that keep Operators standing.

Best when: You already own defensive Mods you cannot equip.

  • Improved Black MarketZone JenthUseful if relevant

+1 Item at the Black Market

More stock is one more chance at the defensive gear your squad is missing.

Best when: You shop for equipment rather than relying on Mission rewards.

Injury prevention lives in the Den, not in the Zones: Cautionary Intel reduces how often Dangerous Operations injure your squad. A health reward and that upgrade answer the same problem from two directions.

Injuries and Dangerous OperationsBest Den upgradesBest squad

Best reward for: More Operators

Injuries leave me with nobody to field

Roster size is a Zone reward, and the record states the effect without resolving the amount. It is still the only regional reward that changes how many Operators you can keep at once.

  • Crew QuartersZone Aurek · Zone KrillBest fit

    + Roster Capacity

Increases Roster Capacity, which is what decides how many Operators you can have on the books at the same time.

Best when: You recruit Custom Operators, or injuries regularly remove core members.

Less urgent when: You run a small fixed team and the roster limit never binds.

  • Extra PaddingZone Aurek · Zone EskStrong alternative

    +4 Health for all Operators

Health does not widen the roster, but it reduces how often a member has to sit out — which is the pressure you are actually feeling.

Best when: The roster feels small because members keep ending up in the Medbay.

  • Rumor SpreadingZone GrekUseful if relevant

Gain additional influence from Operations and Missions

More Influence from Missions and Operations means the roster reward arrives sooner if that is the Zone you are pushing.

Best when: You have decided the capacity reward is your target and want it faster.

Four Operators deploy at a time, so a bigger roster is flexibility rather than raw power. It buys the option to leave somebody at the Den and still field a full squad.

Best reward for: Faster Den progress

Den construction is the slow part

The Den has one regional reward of its own, and it is a capacity reward: construction runs in parallel instead of queueing. Credits decide what you can afford to build, so the two answers are connected.

  • Upgrade ComponentsZone DornBest fit

    +1 Upgrade Facility Slot

Adds an Upgrade Facility Slot, which is what decides how much construction the Den can run at the same time.

Best when: You usually have something worth building and the slot is the limit.

Less urgent when: You rarely have an upgrade you want and a slot free to start it.

  • Scavenging TechniquesZone LethStrong alternative

    +250 Credits each Mission

Den upgrades are bought with Credits. A recurring Credit payout is the other half of a construction problem.

Best when: Your Den queue is empty because Credits run out.

  • Improved Black MarketZone JenthUseful if relevant

+1 Item at the Black Market

Facility stock and Den stock compete for the same Credits, so a wider shop changes how much is left for construction.

Best when: Your Credits are being spent at the shop instead of the Den.

The Den question and the Zone question are the same question asked twice: whether the slot or the Credits are what is stopping you. Name the one that is actually blocking construction and chase that reward.

Best reward for: Bonds

Bond pairings are progressing slowly

Two Zones carry a Bond reward, and both are the same effect: Bond XP for everyone. That makes them roster-wide progression rather than a bonus for one pair.

  • Jogan Fruit PieZone HerfBest fit

    + Bond XP for everyone!

Grants Bond XP to the whole roster, so every pair you are raising advances at once.

Best when: You keep several pairs moving and want them all to progress.

Less urgent when: Bonds are not part of your plan for this run.

  • Blue Milk PancakesZone LethBest fit

    + Bond XP for everyone!

The same roster-wide Bond XP, attached to a different Zone — pick whichever of the two sits among the Zones you are already influencing.

Best when: You are already invested in the Outer Zones.

  • Crew QuartersZone Aurek · Zone KrillUseful if relevant

    + Roster Capacity

A wider roster is more pairs, which changes how much there is to progress rather than how fast it goes.

Best when: You intend to recruit more Operators.

The record states the effect as Bond XP for everyone and does not resolve the amount. Treat it as progression, not as a way to finish a specific pair — the pairings themselves still come from playing the Operators together.

Best reward for: Better Black Market

The shop never has what I want

One Zone adds stock, another raises quality. They are different purchases: more items matter while you are still filling slots, better items matter once the squad is equipped.

  • Improved Black MarketZone JenthBest fit

+1 Item at the Black Market

One more item on the shelf each time the stock refreshes.

Best when: You shop regularly and the shop is always too thin.

Less urgent when: You buy almost nothing across a campaign.

  • Smuggling RoutesZone LethBest fit

    Higher Quality Black Market items

Higher quality Black Market items — the same shelf, better contents.

Best when: Your squad is equipped and you are hunting upgrades rather than replacements.

  • Hutt Roulette PrizeZone JenthUseful if relevant

    Unknown Exotic item.

A guaranteed exotic item rather than a better shop. It is the reward to take when one unusual item is what your build is missing.

Best when: You want equipment, not stock behaviour.

  • Scavenging TechniquesZone LethUseful if relevant

    +250 Credits each Mission

The shop runs on Credits, so more Credits per Mission is an indirect way to buy more of it.

Best when: You would shop more if you could afford to.

Both shop rewards are worth exactly as much as your shopping habit. A player who buys two items per campaign should not be influencing a Zone for either of them.

Weapon Mods and UtilitiesCredits economy

Best reward for: Gear

I need better equipment, not a stat

Some rewards hand over an item rather than a number. Those are the ones to chase when your build is one item away from working, and the ones to skip when you need something that applies to the whole roster.

  • Hutt Roulette PrizeZone JenthBest fit

    Unknown Exotic item.

An exotic item is equipment, not a modifier, and the reward text states that the item itself is unknown.

Best when: You can use an unknown exotic item and want equipment out of the Influence you already spent.

Less urgent when: You need a predictable change this cycle.

  • Improved Black MarketZone JenthStrong alternative

+1 Item at the Black Market

More shop stock is a slower but controllable route to the same goal.

Best when: You would rather choose the item than be handed one.

  • +1 Weapon Mod SlotZone FornStrong alternative

All Operators gain +1 Weapon Mod Slot

Capacity for the gear you already own. It is the roster-wide version of an equipment reward.

Best when: Your equipment problem is capacity rather than supply.

  • Smuggling RoutesZone LethUseful if relevant

    Higher Quality Black Market items

Quality stock is still shop stock: it pays out at the rate you visit.

Best when: The shop is already your main equipment source.

The Zones without a named influence reward still hand out equipment: their records reference Utility Items and roster XP. The verified data resolves what is attached, not which reward a player receives first.

Weapon Mods and UtilitiesZones and what each one holds

Best reward for: Faster Zone progress

Every Zone reward takes too long to reach

One Zone reward speeds up Influence itself. It is the meta reward: it does not solve Intel or Credits, it brings whichever reward you actually wanted closer.

  • Rumor SpreadingZone GrekBest fit

Gain additional influence from Operations and Missions

Increases the Influence gained from Operations and Missions, which is how most Influence is earned in the first place.

Best when: You have several Zones with rewards you still intend to claim.

Less urgent when: You have already claimed what you wanted from the Zones you use.

  • Upgrade ComponentsZone DornUseful if relevant

    +1 Upgrade Facility Slot

Not influence, but the Den upgrade slots it grants include the Influence branch upgrades that grant Influence directly.

Best when: Your Den construction slot is the reason Influence upgrades are not moving.

Contacts are the other half of this problem, and they are the only Influence source you control directly. The Contacts sections below are the rest of this answer.

Zones and regional rewardsBest Den upgrades

This page is the companion to the Zone inventory view: that page answers what each Zone holds, this one answers which of those rewards to spend Influence on next. The record shows which rewards a Zone contains; the order they arrive in is not resolved.

Is a Recurring Reward Better Than a Permanent Upgrade?

They are not scored on the same scale, because one repeats and one does not. A recurring reward is worth more the earlier you claim it and less the closer the campaign is to over.

Recurring

  • Pays out every Mission, so it repeats for the rest of the campaign.
  • The earlier you claim it, the more times it can pay.
  • Worth less if the campaign is nearly over.
  • Examples: Credits or Intel each Mission.

Permanent

  • Unlocks a capability once and keeps it.
  • Does not depend on how many Missions are left.
  • Worth the same whether you claim it now or in ten Cycles.
  • Examples: a Mod Slot, roster capacity, Health, a construction slot.

Choose recurring when your economy is the bottleneck and enough campaign remains for it to repeat.

Choose permanent when it immediately fixes a build, a survival or a roster limitation.

What the rest of your campaign is worth

  • Intel GatheringZone Cresh5 Intel × 12 = 60 Intel Calculated
  • Scavenging TechniquesZone Leth250 Credits × 12 = 3,000 Credits Calculated

A projection, not a promise: the totals depend on how many Missions your campaign has left, which is your assumption rather than a game value. The per-Mission amounts themselves are exact.

Best Early Zone Reward

There is no universally best first Zone, and the community routes show it: some players open with Intel, some with Credits, some with the Weapon Mod Slot. What they have in common is that each started from a bottleneck.

Look for

+ Roster Capacity — the game fills the amount in at runtime

Permanent · Roster capacity · Zone Aurek · Zone Krill

  • Upgrade Components Game reward

Permanent · Den construction · Zone Dorn

Both of these records state their effect without resolving the amount, and both are comfort upgrades until the limit actually binds. They are poor first picks for a player who is nowhere near either cap.

Low-regret early reward types

If you want a safe first target rather than a ranked list, these are the categories that stay useful whatever your run looks like. They are types, not Zones, and they are not a ranking.

  • Broad economy

Pays out every Mission for the rest of the campaign.

    Example: Scavenging Techniques

  • Roster-wide build capacity

Applies to every Operator, including the bench.

    Example: +1 Weapon Mod Slot

  • Global survivability

Raises the margin for the whole roster.

    Example: Extra Padding

  • Den capacity

Removes a limit that applies to every future upgrade.

    Example: Upgrade Components

Everything else on this page is narrower: it is excellent for one stated problem and close to worthless for another. Narrow is not bad — it is just not low-regret.

Where Should I Spend Influence Next?

2 Contacts · No recorded bonus

The upgrades state what they add to a Contact. The base amount a single Contact is worth is not resolved in the verified data, so this page never converts Contacts into a total.

The verified data resolves the reward list for each Zone but not the Influence thresholds the rewards sit behind. That is why this planner ranks the reward that is left, and never the number of Contacts it would take.

    How to Spend Contacts Efficiently

Use Contacts where the Influence they add changes an outcome you actually want — the Zone holding the reward that solves your problem. Contacts are the only Influence source you place yourself.

Influence bonus per Contact at each Persuasion tier
    Networking upgradeWhat the game states
No PersuasionNo bonus recorded in the verified data.
Persuasion IPlacing a Contact provides +2 Influence
Persuasion IIPlacing a Contact provides an additional +3 Influence

A Contact can cross more than one line

If a Contact grants more Influence than the next reward needs, the surplus is not lost: it counts towards the reward after it. The page cannot tell you how much surplus is coming, because the base amount a Contact is worth is not in the verified data.

Before you commit, check what the reward after the next one is. Crossing a line you did not want is still progress — it just may not be progress you would have chosen.

One Contact From a Reward is the question players actually ask, and it is the one this page cannot answer with a number: the reward list per Zone is exact, the Influence threshold it sits behind is not in the verified data. The method still works — check your standing on the Influence Lens, and place the Contact in the Zone whose remaining reward matches your problem.

The alternatives that are exact are the Den upgrades: a Region Influence upgrade grants a fixed +5 Influence in one Zone band the moment you buy it. If that +5 is what crosses your next line, the upgrade answers the same question a Contact does.

How Persuasion Changes Your Influence Plan

Persuasion does not change what a Zone pays. It changes what each Contact is worth, for the rest of the campaign, which matters most if Contacts are how you influence in the first place.

    • Persuasion I Game reward

Placing a Contact provides +2 Influence

    • Persuasion II Game reward

Placing a Contact provides an additional +3 Influence

The verified data states the two bonuses and stops there, so the page does not print a total Influence plan. Three Contacts at Persuasion I and three at Persuasion II are worth different amounts, and the base value of a Contact is not resolved.

    Region Influence upgrades

    • Core Influence I

    • Outer Influence I

    • Outer Influence II

These two systems meet in the same decision: a Contact adds Influence to one Zone, and these upgrades add Influence to one band of Zones.

Should You Keep Investing in the Same Zone?

Reaching a reward is the moment to ask the question again, not the end of the decision. The test is the next reward, not the Zone you are already in.

    1. 01Look at the next reward the Zone holds.
    2. 02If it answers your current problem, the Zone is still worth your Influence.
    3. 03If it does not, another Zone may hold a reward that does — even one that is further away.
    4. 04Claiming every reward in a Zone is a completion goal, not a campaign goal.

Optimise around rewards, not around the visual completion of a Zone track. A half-finished Zone that gave you the reward you needed has done its job.

    Spread Influence or Concentrate It?

Neither rule is absolute, and the honest answer depends on how far the rewards you want are from each other.

    Spread when

    • When several low-cost useful rewards sit close together, spreading can collect more of them for the same Influence.
    • Spreading is reasonable early, when the first reward in several Zones is worth having.

    Concentrate when

    • When one higher-tier reward meaningfully changes your campaign, depth beats breadth.
    • Concentrating is reasonable once your campaign has a single named bottleneck.

Both patterns are legitimate. What is not legitimate is a Zone track you are pushing because the progress bar looks nearly full.

Which Reward Should I Chase Next?

+ Roster Capacity — the game fills the amount in at runtime

Permanent · Roster capacity · Zone Aurek · Zone Krill

    Worth it when

    • You recruit Custom Operators and want a deeper bench.
    • Injuries regularly remove core members from the squad you can field.
    • You want role redundancy: a second specialist for the same job.

    Skip it when

    • You run a small fixed team and never hit the roster limit.
    • Your problem is recovery speed, which this reward does not change.

    Is Rumor Spreading worth it?

    Rumor Spreading Game reward

Gain additional influence from Operations and Missions

Recurring / every Mission · Operations and Missions · Zone Grek

    Worth it when

    • You are deliberately farming Zone Influence and want every reward to arrive sooner.
    • You still have several Zones with rewards you intend to claim.

    Skip it when

    • You are targeting one specific reward and would rather place Contacts there directly.
    • You have already claimed the rewards you wanted from the Zones you use.

Is +1 Weapon Mod Slot worth it?

+1 Weapon Mod Slot Game reward

All Operators gain +1 Weapon Mod Slot

Permanent · All Operators · Zone Forn

    Worth it when

    • You own Weapon Mods that have nowhere to go.
    • Your core Operators have their current slots filled with something useful.

    Skip it when

    • You own few useful Mods, so the extra slot stays empty.
    • Your Mods are still waiting on better weapons to sit in.

    Is Upgrade Components worth it?

    Upgrade Components Game reward

    +1 Upgrade Facility Slot

Permanent · Den construction · Zone Dorn

    Worth it when

    • The Den is your bottleneck: upgrades queue instead of running in parallel.
    • You keep a build slot busy and would run a second one if you had it.

    Skip it when

    • You rarely have something worth building, so a second slot sits idle.
    • Your Den problem is Credits rather than construction capacity.

    Is Smuggling Routes worth it?

    Smuggling Routes Game reward

    Higher Quality Black Market items

Permanent · Black Market stock · Zone Leth

    Worth it when

    • You are past the point of needing more items and want better ones.
    • Your squad is already equipped and quality is the remaining upgrade path.

    Skip it when

    • You are still filling empty slots, where any item beats a better item.
    • The shop is not part of how your squad gets equipment.

    Is Scavenging Techniques worth it?

    Scavenging Techniques Game reward

    +250 Credits each Mission

Recurring / every Mission · Every Mission · Zone Leth

    Worth it when

    • Credits are the bottleneck for the Den, the Medbay or the Black Market.
    • You still have many Missions to run, so a per-Mission payout compounds.

    Skip it when

    • Your spending is already covered and the constraint is build slots or Influence instead.
    • The campaign is nearly over, which is the one case a per-Mission reward cannot pay off.

Is Blue Milk Pancakes worth it?

    Blue Milk Pancakes Game reward

+ Bond XP for everyone! — the game fills the amount in at runtime

Permanent · All Operators · Zone Leth

    Worth it when

    • You rotate Operators and want every pair to advance.
    • Cross Training unlocks are the next thing your roster wants.

    Skip it when

    • You are not investing in Bonds at all.
    • You would rather spend the Influence on a capacity or economy reward.

    Zones without a named reward

    • Zone Isk carries a Utility Item, an item, Roster XP — and no localized influence reward name.
    • Zone Besh carries a Utility Item, Focus Points, an item — and no localized influence reward name.

Those Zones are not empty. The verified records resolve what is attached to them; they do not resolve a reward name to print, so this page does not invent one.

Zone Rewards vs Expiring Missions and Operations

A Zone reward is permanent or recurring: it waits for you. Missions and Operations that expire do not, which is why the expiring thing is usually the better use of a Cycle.

Before chasing a Zone reward, check

    • A critical Mission you have not started.
    • A Hero Mission whose Cycle window is closing.
    • An Operation the campaign script expires.
    • An Operator mission that only exists in this part of the story.
    • An injury or roster constraint that decides what you can field at all.

    What the records name

    • Analyzing Courtsilius smugglers' manifest: 1 Cycle remaining to completeNamed in the campaign records as a one-Cycle objective
    • Awaiting Tel-Rea's intel on the Coil: 1 Cycle remaining to completeNamed in the campaign records as a one-Cycle objective
    • The campaign script explicitly references 20 Operations as expired, which is why the expiring activity is normally the better use of a Cycle.

    Option APush the Zone

    • Reward: permanent or recurring
    • Expires: never
    • Trade-off: the Cycle it costs.

    Option BRun the expiring activity

    • Reward: whatever the activity pays
    • Expires: on its own Cycle
    • Trade-off: none of the Zone Influence.

Expiry is the non-renewable factor. A Zone reward keeps its value next Cycle; a Mission that closes does not. This page does not tell you to skip the Zone — it tells you to check the calendar before you optimise it.

No generic numeric mission-expiration duration field was recovered from the selected assets. Do not infer per-mission cycle deadlines except where an asset explicitly encodes a one-cycle objective.

    How We Recommend Zone Rewards

No score, no weighting and no hidden model. These are the inputs behind every recommendation on this page.

    • Your stated problem

Every recommendation on this page starts from the goal you picked, never from a global order.

    • The exact reward effect

The effect sentence is the game string. Where it carries a runtime amount, the page prints the effect without a number.

    • Whether it repeats

A per-Mission reward and a one-time unlock are compared as different kinds of value, not scored on one scale.

    • How wide it reaches

All Operators, your Intel pool, one item, the shop shelf. Reach decides how many problems one reward can touch.

    • What the Zone holds next

A Zone is only worth continuing if a reward you still want is in it. The stop-or-continue test uses the reward list, not a tier.

    • What has an expiry date

Anything time-sensitive outranks a Zone reward, because the Zone reward is still there next Cycle.

    Data status

    • 12 Zones · 10 with a named influence reward · 13 rewards
    • 3 recurring · 10 permanent · 3 with an unresolved amount
    • The verified data names an influence reward for 10 of 12 Zones.
    • Zone Isk and Zone Besh carry reward assets — equipment, roster XP, Focus Points — without a localized reward name, so this page does not invent one.
    • 3 of the 13 reward sentences carry their amount as a runtime variable, and are printed without a number.
    • The Influence threshold each reward sits behind is not resolved anywhere in the verified data, which is why no gap, Contact count or cost appears on this page.
    • The order of rewards inside one Zone is not resolved either: the page knows which rewards a Zone holds, not which one arrives first.

Contacts, as the game describes them: A headcount of available connections. Increase Zone Influence by assigning them to a Zone on the Holotable on the Influence Lens.

    Zone Rewards and Influence FAQ

What is the best Zone in Zero Company?

There is no best Zone in isolation, and this page does not rank them. Zone Cresh pays Intel, Zone Leth pays Credits, Zone Forn grants a Weapon Mod Slot, Zone Aurek and Zone Esk raise the health of every Operator, Zone Dorn adds a construction slot, and Zone Jenth and Zone Leth improve the Black Market. Each one is the best Zone for a different problem.

Which Zone should I influence first?

Start with the reward that answers the problem currently costing you Missions. If your economy is the bottleneck, a recurring Credits or Intel reward is the strongest start. If your squad is the bottleneck, a roster-wide reward such as the Weapon Mod Slot or the health bonus is the stronger start.

What is the best early Zone reward?

The reward categories that stay useful whatever your run looks like: broad economy, roster-wide build capacity, global survivability and Den capacity. They are types rather than Zones, because the safest first pick depends on which of those limits you have actually hit.

    Which Zone gives more Intel?

Zone Cresh holds the Intel rewards: Intel Gathering, which adds Intel each Mission, and a bonus to your Maximum Intel. Both are attached to the same Zone, so an Intel-focused campaign usually has one clear destination.

    Which Zone gives more Credits?

Zone Leth holds Scavenging Techniques, which pays Credits each Mission. It is the only recurring Credit reward in the regional records, and the only Zone reward that raises Credit income at all.

    Which Zone increases Intel capacity?

Zone Cresh carries the Intel Cap reward, whose effect is to increase Maximum Intel. It is the capacity half of the Intel problem and pairs with the recurring Intel reward in the same Zone.

Which Zone gives a Weapon Mod Slot?

Zone Forn. Its reward grants every Operator an additional Weapon Mod Slot, which makes it a roster-wide build capacity unlock rather than a bonus for one Operator.

    Which Zone increases roster size?

Zone Aurek and Zone Krill both carry Crew Quarters, which increases Roster Capacity. The verified reward sentence states the effect without resolving the amount.

Which Zone improves the Black Market?

Two Zones do, in different ways. Zone Jenth adds an item to the Black Market stock, and Zone Leth raises the quality of the items that appear. Stock matters while you are still filling slots; quality matters once your squad is equipped.

    Which Zone helps Den upgrades?

Zone Dorn carries the Upgrade Facility Slot reward, which lets more Den construction run at the same time. Credits are the other half of the same problem, so a recurring Credit reward works alongside it rather than instead of it.

Should I spread Influence across multiple Zones?

Spread when several cheap and useful rewards sit close together, which is common early on. Concentrate when one reward changes your campaign enough to be worth the depth. What is not worth doing is pushing a Zone because its progress bar is nearly full.

    Should I focus one Zone?

Focus one Zone while it still holds a reward that answers your current problem. Once it does not, the next reward is the thing to check rather than the Zone you happen to be in.

When should I stop investing in a Zone?

When the next reward the Zone holds no longer answers your current problem. The reward list is exact; the order they arrive in is not resolved, so treat the next reward as the test and your Influence Lens as the source for where you stand.

    Where should I use Contacts?

Use Contacts where the Influence they add changes an outcome you want — the Zone holding the reward that solves your problem. Contacts are the only Influence source you control directly, so they are worth placing deliberately rather than spread over Zones at random.

    Should I save Contacts?

Saving them has no cost beyond the delay, and holding one until you know which reward you are chasing is reasonable. The verified data does not resolve the Influence thresholds, so this page cannot compute a Contact count for any specific reward.

Is Persuasion worth it for Contacts?

Persuasion I adds Influence to every Contact you place, and Persuasion II adds more on top. It is worth it if Contacts are your main Influence source, because the bonus applies to every one you use for the rest of the campaign.

Are recurring Zone rewards better than permanent ones?

They are different, and the page does not call a winner. A recurring reward pays every Mission, so it is at its best early and nearly worthless late. A permanent reward is worth the same whenever you claim it. Choose recurring when your economy is the bottleneck and enough campaign remains.

Is plus 250 Credits per Mission worth it?

It is the only recurring Credit reward in the regional records, so it is worth it whenever Credits are the bottleneck and Missions remain to run. Multiply the amount by the Missions you have left to see the ceiling; the total depends on your own campaign length, not on the reward.

Is plus 5 Intel per Mission worth it?

It is the recurring half of the Intel problem, and worth it when Intel is what stops you starting Operations. Intel capacity is the other half: if your pool overflows, the cap is the better buy.

Is the extra Weapon Mod Slot worth it?

It applies to every Operator, so the reward itself cannot miss. Whether it pays depends on whether you own Mods that are currently unused — check the Mod database before spending Influence on capacity you cannot fill.

Should I prioritise Zone rewards over expiring Missions?

Usually check the irreplaceable opportunity first, then optimise permanent progression. A Zone reward is still there next Cycle; a Hero Mission, an Operation the campaign expires or a one-cycle objective is not. The exception is a Zone reward that unlocks something the expiring activity would have needed — which is a reason to plan, not a rule.

    What Should You Do Next?

You know which reward to chase. These pages answer the questions on either side of that decision.
